The idea was, on the one hand, to create an interface on which the user can easily implement the understanding of his processes. On the other hand, the tool (kit) should be completely independent of a specific industry. This means that there are no prefabricated data structures. The user decides for himself where and how he uses the tool and which data he manages and processes with it.

Important: The example described describes the business processes of a small trading company. This is only a selected possibility for the use of this tool and does not represent a restriction to this one possible application.

FM-Easybase is based on the FileMaker software from Claris (claris.com). You need a FileMaker license if you want to use FM-Easybase. FileMaker is a so-called low-code development platform with which software solutions can be created. FM-Easybase offers a drastic simplification of development for [simple] business applications.

How was this achieved?

In contrast to common programming tools, which always require a certain level of knowledge in programming technology and also in the design of databases, a completely different path was chosen here.

For the implementation of the concept, suitable layouts (screen masks) are available, which are self-explanatory to use and a graphical user interface has been deliberately avoided, as its handling is not immediately obvious to an inexperienced user.
